Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RetireShield ("RetireShield," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit retireshield.co or go.retireshield.co (the "Sites"), take our retirement income quiz, or request a Retirement Income Review. By using the Sites you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you complete the quiz and request a review, we ask for your first and last name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, state of residence, and your answers to a short set of questions about your retirement timeline, age range, approximate retirement savings range, and priorities. We also record the date, time, and wording of the consent you give us.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, the advertising campaign that brought you to the Sites (for example, UTM parameters and a Meta click identifier), and interactions with the quiz. We collect this through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies described in Section 5.

Information from others

If you book an appointment through our scheduling tool, the scheduling provider shares the appointment details with us. We do not purchase lists or obtain your financial account data from third parties.

2. How we use information

• To determine whether a Retirement Income Review is likely to be useful for you, based on your quiz answers.
• To contact you about your request by phone, text message (SMS), and email, and to connect you with a licensed insurance professional in your state who conducts the review.
• To schedule, confirm, and remind you about appointments, and to follow up if we are unable to reach you.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Sites and the quiz, and to measure and improve our advertising.
• To comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

3. Text messages and calls

If you check the consent box on our form, you authorize RetireShield and a licensed insurance professional to contact you at the number you provide, including by automatic telephone dialing system, prerecorded or artificial voice message, and SMS text message. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us to stop calling by telling any caller or by emailing us at the address below. Reply HELP for help. We honor the National Do Not Call Registry and applicable state do-not-call laws for numbers we have not received consent to call.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only as follows:

• Licensed professionals. With the licensed insurance professional(s) in your state who conduct your Retirement Income Review, so they can prepare for and follow up on it.
• Service providers. With companies that help us operate: website hosting, customer relationship management, appointment scheduling, email and text-message delivery, and analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Advertising measurement. With advertising platforms (currently Meta) to measure whether our advertising works, as described in Section 5. This may include hashed contact details and event information such as "completed the quiz."
• Legal. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of RetireShield, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Cookies, pixels, and analytics

The Sites use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure the results of our advertising and to help us reach people who may be interested in our services. Meta may use the information it collects in accordance with its own data policy. We also use standard hosting and analytics logs. You can limit advertising tracking through your browser settings, by using browser tools that block cookies and pixels, and through your Meta ad preferences. Some features of the Sites may not work if cookies are disabled.

6. Your choices and rights

• Marketing communications. Reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us to stop marketing calls.
• Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.
• State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right to know what information we collect and how it is used, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of pixel-based advertising measurement, use the browser and platform controls described in Section 5 or contact us.

7. Data retention and security

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the review you requested, to maintain records of your consent and communications as required by law, and to resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Sites. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Sites are intended for adults and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Third-party sites

The Sites may link to third-party websites and tools, including our scheduling provider. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
