These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of retireshield.co and go.retireshield.co (the "Sites"), the retirement income quiz, and any Retirement Income Review you request through them (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. What RetireShield is — and is not

RetireShield provides educational information about retirement income and connects consumers with independent, licensed insurance professionals who conduct Retirement Income Reviews. RetireShield itself does not sell insurance or investment products, manage money, or provide investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. Any products discussed during a review are offered only by an appropriately licensed professional, and only where that professional is licensed. Product availability, features, and terms vary by state and by carrier.

RetireShield is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Social Security Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, Medicare, or any other government agency.

2. The quiz and the review

The quiz asks general questions to help determine whether a Retirement Income Review is likely to be useful for you. Quiz results are not a financial plan, a recommendation, or an offer of any product. The Retirement Income Review is a free, educational conversation with a licensed professional about where your retirement income may come from. It creates no obligation to purchase anything, and nothing is sold during the review itself.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. Any decisions you make based on the Services are your own. Before acting on anything discussed, consider consulting your own tax, legal, or financial professionals.

3. No guarantees

Nothing on the Sites or in a review is a promise or guarantee of any income amount, rate of return, tax result, or outcome. Any illustrations, examples, or historical references are for education only. Insurance and annuity products carry limitations, fees, surrender charges, and other terms that are disclosed by the issuing carrier and the licensed professional at the time of any application.

4. Communications and consent

By submitting the form on the quiz and checking the consent box, you consent to be contacted as described on the form and in our Privacy Policy, including by phone, SMS text message, and email, by RetireShield and by a licensed insurance professional. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us.

5. Eligibility

The Services are intended for adults residing in the United States. Reviews are available only in states where a participating licensed professional is available; we will tell you if we cannot serve your state.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit false information, to impersonate another person, to interfere with the operation or security of the Sites, to scrape or copy the Sites other than for personal use, or to use the Services for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual property

The Sites, including text, graphics, logos, and the quiz, are owned by RetireShield or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use only.

8. Illustrative images and presenters

Photographs, illustrations, and video presenters on the Sites and in our advertising are illustrative and, in some cases, generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence. They do not depict actual clients or licensed professionals unless expressly stated.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, RetireShield disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Sites will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RetireShield and its owners, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

11. Independent professionals

Licensed professionals who conduct reviews are independent and are responsible for their own licensing, conduct, and compliance with insurance laws. Any application, contract, or purchase is solely between you, the professional, and the issuing carrier.

12. Changes; termination

We may change these Terms or the Services at any time by posting an updated version with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or end access to the Services at our discretion.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which RetireShield's operating company is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to first contact us to try to resolve any dispute informally before bringing a claim.
